Each year the Flora Glenn Candler Concert Series brings internationally renowned artists to Emory University's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Candler artists range from large ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic and Taipei Chinese Orchestra to solo artists like violinist Hilary Hahn and baritone Thomas Hampson.
The artists come from a variety of musical genres including everything from traditional groups, such as Venice Baroque Orchestra, to contemporary artists, like jazz bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding. The series is made possible by a generous gift from the late Flora Glenn Candler, a friend and patron of music at Emory University.
The 2013-2014 Candler Concert Series has been announced. The eight musical artists that comprise the season represent a dynamic and eclectic group of internationally renowned musicians and artists. Preview the 2013-2014 season.
