ATLANTA (July 24, 2012)—The Emory College Center for Creativity & Arts (CCA) has opened the call for nominations for the CCA “Community Impact” awards to the Atlanta arts community.
Two Community Impact awards are given annually to recognize contributions made to the arts in Atlanta by artists, administrators, educators, activists or supporters in any or all disciplines. Nominees are welcome from any realm of the arts—from grassroots community engagement to broad-based activity. All nominees must have worked or resided in DeKalb or Fulton counties.
Nominations are also being accepted for awards that recognize contributions made by an Emory alum, faculty member, student, staff member, and campus arts volunteer to the artistic community at Emory.
Winners will be announced at the Emory Creativity & Arts Soiree, Sept. 7, 2012, 5:30-7:30 p.m. (Awards Presentation 6:45-7:30 p.m.) in Emory’s Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Performances and activities are presented by the arts departments, the Michael C. Carlos Museum and Emory Woodruff Libraries. The Creativity & Arts Soiree is free and open to the public.
