Effective January 1, 2012, Emory is a tobacco-free campus.
Emory University's campus wide tobacco-free policy includes vistors to campus and patrons to all of our arts events. Please be aware that the use of all tobacco products is prohibited on our property, grounds, or parking areas. Thank you for respecting our policy.
Temporary smoking areas have been established on campus to help smokers transistion to this new policy. These areas will only be available until August 2012. View a map of temporary smoking areas.
We join over 580 other U.S. colleges and universities and more than 2,800 hospitals and healthcare institutions that have made the conscious decision to eliminate the use of tobacco campus-wide. As a result, our campus will transform into a healthier, cleaner environment that truly supports the overall wellness of our students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors.
