Music and Dance Ushering

Why should I become a Music or Dance Usher?

Youth Volunteers

Younger volunteers may be interested in our Junior Usher Program. This program is geared toward middle school and high school students and provides an opportunity for them to volunteer in the arts.

Dress Code for Ushers

During our holiday season in December we welcome festive attire, but throughout the remainder of the concert season we do have a dress code.

Women: Black or dark pants or skirt with black or white top, a black dress, dark shoes

Men: Dress shirt and tie (a jacket is preferred) with dark or khaki pants, a dark suit, dark shoes

Training & Duties

Our volunteer orientation takes place in early September before the beginning of the concert season. Throughout the remainder of the season, we ask that first-time ushers arrive a few minutes early for a meeting and tour of the facility with the House Manager. General volunteer responsibilities for a performance include:

Registration

You may sign up to receive a registration packet at any time during the concert season, and you are welcome to sign up for as many or as few performance as you like. However, if you decide that you are no longer interested in volunteering, please inform our office so that we may remove you from our mailing list and conserve resources.

If you are interested in signing up to volunteer usher, simply fill out the registration information below and/or contact our office for further information.
